I only took ROTC because my dad was paying for my college and he insisted. I took the other subjects because (a) they were required, (b) I had no clue what else to take, and (c) there wasn't much left by the time I got registered. Calculus was at 8AM, Chemistry at 9. I was doomed.

Dad wasn't nearly as amused as I was by the fact that the only subject I passed when the grades came out was the one he forced me to take.

My chem prof was used to teaching grad students. He'd been Dad's advisor for his PhD thesis. He expected me to be a boy wonder at Chem. I was pretty good, but knew only what I'd learned on my own - my high school science classes hadn't been very enlightening.

Freshman calculus at Georgia Tech was a weedout course. I ended up taking each calculus thrice - once to fail, once to pass, and once to get a good grade.

Drafting was run by an old lecher who just liked a couple of the cute girls, and one guy who had awesome drawing talent. Everyone else was hosed. I got hacked off and quit going. Great statement, stupid action.

I had an excellent English prof. Professor Frisbee. He left after this quarter to go into the ministry.
