1995 X Technical Conference Review

Intro

This was the smallest XTC since the earliest conferences, with slightly less than 400 people in attendance (including speakers and X Consortium staff). Besides the fact that software conference attendance in general is down, several factors are relevant. While the focus was as much hardcore X this year as in the past, it was still a very good conference, and it's a shame it was as small as it was. Perhaps being in a different climate next year will help.

Hopefully, several of the technologies discussed at this year's conference (HBX, D11, loadable servers) will appear in R7, soon.
